I definitely know I am not alone in saying I had high hopes for 2020. It started out great actually for about 5 weeks and then it took a dramatic turn. 2020 was supposed to be my year as I found out my sister was expecting, I was turning 30 and had a huge celebration planned in Maine and I was looking forward to cultivating new relationships, that is until March 19th happened. All of our lives took a drastic turn on that day and while it's been a dumpster fire of year filled with crazy emotions, there were some positive things that came out of it and I definitely want to try to focus on that. This annual post might be a little shorter than years past but if I can say one good thing about 2020, its definitely made me focus on what's truly important!
1. February marked Fashion Week in its normal state, only weeks before NYC completely shut down. it makes me happy seeing all this street style and everyone so happy!
2. I wrote this post only days before the world shutdown and it's become my most popular post of all time. I have been working at home since January 2019 so I loved sharing my tips for the perfect WFH lifestyle.
3. I like to think that loungewear became my middle name this year and if there is anything I bought more of this year its loungewear.
4. After over 5 years of religiously getting gel on my nails, I was hit with the task of now painting my own nails. I've gathered quite the collection over the last 9 months!
5. I turned the big 3-0 in July and while my celebration was a WHOLE lot different, I got to spend quality time with my family in Arizona!
6. The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was delayed due to the pandemic this year but managed to get in some great coverage and bring some joy to us Nordstrom addicts!
7. Amazon Prime Day was also delayed a few months due to the pandemic so luckily got some early Christmas Shopping in!
8. I kicked off the holiday season with my 6th annual 12 Stylish Days of Gift Guides with a new gift guide dedicated to my new baby nephew, Ford
Along with endless OOTD posts, nail looks and what I am doing at home to stay sane, 2020 was definitely unforgettable. I am looking forward to the new year and hopefully getting back to some sense of normal, even if normal is adjusted. 2020 definitely saw some heartbreak and grief, but I look back now stronger and more determined to make next year even better! I hope everyone has an amazing new years!
So until next time... Live Stylishly
