Let me start off this post by saying I could have written this post like over a month ago when rumors were spreading that essie's summer collection was inspired by Antigua. I saw one little article about the collection and couldn't verify anything so I had to postpone the post and as I was reading InStyle last night what did I come across... the essie Summer collection inspired by Antigua. I guess I was actually ahead of the release for the first time! Okay well enough babbling... essie's latest collection is inspired by color director Rebecca Minkoff's travels to Antigua. Her take on Antigua...
“What makes Antigua is so special is the people; they’re so warm and kind, you begin to feel like a local. Going to the market to buy some fresh fruit becomes an epic discovery of culture, history and of course, gorgeous handmade fabrics and tribal text-styles. Their vivid, saturated colors reflecting the local flora can be seen everywhere”
Well just went I thought that was the best description ever I found Karen over at I'm a Beauty Geek description... "
The collection an interesting bunch of shades that when smushed all together into a single collection, have me wishing for sun and sand with a side order of surf."
Let's just say this collection screams sun and sand and I have to get my hands on these colors! The collection launches May 17th. The seven shades, Tribal Text-styles, Loot the Booty, Viva Antigua!, Hiking Heels, Berried Treasures and Coconut Cove are the perfect hues for a summer mani! See what each color is below and share with me what your favorite color is in this collection! Viva Antigua is my absolute favorite!
Tribal Text-styles - Black gold and crushed onyx
Loot the Booty - Pavé sapphire blue
Viva Antigua! - Iridescent crystalline turquoise
Hiking Heels - Scorching hot lava red
Berried Treasures - Bright ruby berry
Coconut Cove - Sweet cream white
Hope everyone is having a fantastic week, we are almost to Friday!!
So until next time... Live Stylishly
